My son, Kory, is shown pushing some broodmares across Elm Creek in Barber County, Kansas. A broodmare is a female horse used for breeding. It was getting close to foaling time and the owner wanted them to be closer to home. The splash of water at their feet and their reflection in the water make this piece come alive.
